Up until this morning, I'd had nothing but amazing things to say about this beautiful venue but unfortunately, after this morning's experience, I'm now disappointed.

Sam, the gentleman who served me, was less than welcoming and his coffee tasted like nothing more that a cup of warmed up milk.

I'll be back, but hopefully on his day off.

Stumbld across this little gem yesterday, I felt like I was in NYC as I devoured a cracking Reuben sandwich, washed down with good coffee and enjoyed the non fussy service. Just been reading the blog and love the sound of Swine Sundays - will definitely be making you my local (although you aren't particularly local). Congratualtions on creating something special.

My wife and two friends had a a wonderful dinner on friday evening. We tried to sample a little of everything as recommended by friends. We have recently moved to the area, we are very impressed with the standard of food in our neighbourhood. The price was very reasonable and my wife in particular enjoyed the "Pineapple and anise" pannacotta. Excellent work.

Wow, had an amazing meal. Beautiful handmade pasta, Capretto just like nonna's recipe. Superb. My dinner companion had braised oxtail and beef cheek. Deliciously soft polenta, with a hint of lemon zest and garlic, perfectly seasoned, so tender it melted on the fork.Pared it with some local organic wine, cheap and cheerful... mostly cheap, but drinkable. Well done. I will be back to sample the spring fare.

We had dinner at Cavallero, with friends, last night and loved everything from the olives and cocktails right through to 'one of every' dessert. Superbly crafted food, pleasant wait staff and joyous atmosphere. This is my sixth/seventh visit and definitely not my last.

What's really lovey about Cavallero is the atmosphere - you can just sit, relax, chat with your friends over really good food. It feels genuine without the pretence.
